Hogan Inducted to Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame

The Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame inducted Jack Hogan (DePauw University, 1967) with the 2023 men’s Hall of Fame class on March 22. Hogan graduated from Broad Ripple High School in Indianapolis in 1963, where he averaged 12 points per game, going 21-6 defeating several larger schools en route to losing to state Champion Muncie Central. He was named Outstanding Senior Athlete along with All-Sectional and All-Regional. In his senior year at DePauw was named Time Magazine’s best college player in the U.S. under 6 foot as “Jack the Giant Killer. ” Hogan led DePauw to victories against many Division I teams, including the University of Evansville, Indiana State University and Butler University. He later went on to be a standout tennis player as well.
