Stanford Coach Marquess Wins his 1,500th Game

Stanford head baseball coach Mark Marquess (Stanford University, 1969) picked up his 1,500th victory with an 11-1 win over California Berkeley and joined a group of just five other NCAA coaches with 1,500 wins. It has been 38 years since Marquess won his first game as the Cardinal's skipper back in 1977. His career record now stands at 1,500-788-7 and he was won two NCAA College World Series titles.
