Salem W. Awwad
Director of Experiential Education
Salem Awwad brings a decade of experience to his role as the Director of Experiential Education for Delta Tau Delta. Previously, Awwad worked in Fraternity and Sorority Life at the University of Kentucky, Penn State University, and Illinois State University – where he served as an advisor to various Greek councils and oversaw critical components of the campus community's membership development and membership experience programming.
Awwad is a proud member of Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity. He graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), with a bachelor’s degree in communication management. He also earned a Master of College Student Personnel and Administration at Illinois State University (ISU).
Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, Awwad now resides in Lexington, Kentucky, with his dog Lucy, affectionately named after Tuscaloosa. A passionate sports fan, he supports UAB, ISU, and the Alabama Crimson Tide. In his free time, Awwad enjoys cooking, volunteering for fraternal organizations, and golfing.
