Ryan Weber is an experienced executive with a proven track record in the technology industry. As the former CEO and president of the KC Tech Council, he led the organization through a decade of transformative growth, driving advocacy efforts and fostering a thriving tech community in the Kansas City region. Under Ryan's leadership, the foundation was set for the council's membership to expand from less than 35 member companies to over 160 - including some of the region’s largest employers.
Ryan's commitment to community engagement and education reform is evident through his involvement and leadership of successful advocacy campaigns in Missouri and Kansas, which directly impacted computer science curriculum standards. He also testified before the U.S. Senate on the small business perspectives of federal data privacy regulations, showcasing his ability to influence national policy discussions.
A visionary leader, Ryan orchestrated the council's rebranding and significantly enhanced its standing within the Tech Councils of North America (TECNA). As a director, officer, and eventually Chairperson until 2022, Ryan played a pivotal role in shaping TECNA's strategic direction. He currently serves as Chair Emeritus, continuing his involvement and support. His accomplishments have been recognized with awards such as the Power 100 by the Kansas City Business Journal and the Public Policy Advocacy Award by TECNA.
