Delta Tau Delta Returns to Syracuse University
SYRACUSE, N.Y.— Delta Tau Delta Fraternity celebrated the installation of the Gamma Omicron Chapter on January 25, 2025, at Syracuse University. The ceremonies were held in the Falk College Grant Auditorium where the initiation of 30 Founding Fathers took place. The expansion project, which began in the fall of 2023, culminated with the signing of the chapter’s charter by Delta Tau Delta’s 57th International President, Anthony J. Albanese (American University, 1996). Originally installed on November 9, 1910, the Gamma Omicron Chapter carries forward a strong legacy of leadership and excellence in Syracuse University’s vibrant Greek community consisting of over 50 active Greek letter organizations.
Present at the ceremonies were Chapter Advisor and 54th International President Steven A. Paquette (Syracuse University, 1977), Arch Chapter Director-at-Large Andrew Britton (University of Oklahoma, 1986), Gamma Omicron House Corporation President Dr. David Page (Syracuse University, 1978), John S. Algeo III (Syracuse University, 1978), and Jack E. Dally (Syracuse University, 1983).
Members of the Beta Omicron Chapter at Cornell University performed the Ritual, including Aaron M. Hafkin (Cornell University, 2025), Max V. Berry-Stoelzle (Cornell University, 2027), and Gian A. Syki (Cornell University, 2027). The Ritual team was completed by Joe C. Hiatt (University of Nebraska at Kearney, 2024), Nick B. Yarbrough (Baker University, 2017), James R. Wallen III (Colorado State University, 2024), Corydon J. Taylor (Wabash College, 2024), and Hunter J. Brackett (Sam Houston State University, 2023).
The event concluded with a gathering of alumni and Central Office staff at the Gamma Omicron shelter. Letters of congratulations can be sent to the chapter at 801 Walnut Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13210. Delta Tau Delta extends its gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the Gamma Omicron Chapter’s return to Syracuse University and looks forward to the chapter’s future success on campus.
