Epsilon Epsilon Rejoins University of Arizona Community After Reinstallation

TUCSON, AZ -- Delta Tau Delta Fraternity celebrated the installation of the Epsilon Epsilon Chapter at the University of Arizona on Nov. 7, 2025. The ceremonies were held near campus at the Aloft Hotel Tucson and marked the Fraternity’s return to campus with the initiation of 40 founding fathers. Several of the founding fathers returned to campus for the installation as recent University of Arizona graduates.
First chartered on April 11, 1959, Epsilon Epsilon returns as one of the oldest Delt chapters on the West Coast. The expansion project took a circuitous path. The chapter first recolonized during the COVID-19 pandemic, but the effort faltered. A few members persevered and reconstituted the colony. In 2024, the group petitioned the Arch Chapter as an interest group and was recognized. A year later, those same men and the brothers they recruited earned the charter. The Ritual ceremony was performed in a unique way. Typically, an installation Ritual is conducted by a neighboring chapter, but due to scheduling conflicts, no local chapter was available. Facing a potential postponement to spring, Epsilon Epsilon alumni volunteered to relearn the ceremony and perform it for their younger brothers. Many of those alumni had not seen a Ritual performance in more than 30 years, yet returned to campus and performed masterfully.
Additional alumni in attendance included Chapter Advisor Suhas Chauhan (1990), House Corporation President Jay Josephs (1990), House Corporation Treasurer John Lotka (1972) and former University of Arizona Alumni Association Board Member Rick Voth (1987). Representing the international fraternity were International President Anthony Albanese (American, 1996), Chief Executive Officer Jack Kreman (Nebraska at Kearney, 2004), Director of Growth Nick Yarbrough (Baker, 2017) and Chapter Leadership Consultant Cade Benton (Alabama, 2025).
Following the installation ceremonies, founding fathers, alumni and Fraternity staff gathered to celebrate Epsilon Epsilon’s return at the chapter’s shelter. Letters of congratulations may be sent to 50 N. Mountain Ave., Unit 2, Tucson, AZ 85735.
