Delta Tau Delta Returns to Clemson University
CLEMSON, S.C. – Delta Tau Delta Fraternity celebrated the installation of the Theta Mu Chapter at Clemson University on January 25, 2025. The ceremonies were held in the Hendrix Student Center and marked the Fraternity’s return to campus with the initiation of 29 Founding Fathers. Originally founded on November 11, 1994, Theta Mu will rejoin Clemson’s thriving fraternity and sorority community of over 50 active organizations. The expansion project began in Fall 2024 and was led by Jacob E. Schmidt (University of California, Los Angeles, 2023) and Hunter J. Brackett (Sam Houston State University, 2023).
The Ritual was performed by members of the Theta Eta Chapter from the University of South Carolina. Among those present were Delta Tau Delta Vice Chairman Chris Wisbrock (University of Missouri, 1997) and Chief Executive Officer Jack C. Kreman (University of Nebraska at Kearney, 2004), who served as the emcee for the evening’s event. Theta Mu alumni also returned to celebrate the chapter’s return, including House Corporation President Joseph R. Wilson III (Clemson University, 2017), Scott Speights (Clemson University, 1994), James Bragg (Clemson University, 1995), Jim (JK) Carling (Clemson University, 1994), Jeff Miller (Clemson University, 1995), and Rich Kaponer (Clemson University, 1997).
Other attendees included Chapter Advisor Patterson Mitchell (Auburn University, 2006), Assistant Chapter Advisor Drew T. Nelson (Auburn University, 2006), Regional Governor Derek B. Olive (Western Kentucky University, 1991), Director of Chapter Services Holly M. Meadows, Senior Leadership Consultant Jacob E. Schmidt (UCLA, 2023), and Geoff T. Wilson (Stanford University, 1998). Clemson University representatives in attendance were IFC Advisor Preston Kell, Assistant Dean of Students Gary Wiser, and Interfraternity Council President Dylan Odin.
