Find yourself at COMPASS!
Surrounded by your brothers in a rustic camp environment, this program is delivered as a 4-day immersive experience. The program aims to produce a breakthrough in the leadership capacity of participants and facilitators, which is demonstrated on their campus, in their community, and within Delta Tau Delta.
2025 COMPASS Programming:
COMPASS offers a menu of opportunities focused on leadership development and character education. This year, we are pleased to partner with LeaderShape to present The Institute as part of our 2025 COMPASS programming. Through this partnership, COMPASS has more to offer than ever before.
This program is limited to the first 60 registrants.
Basic Info:
When: Thursday, Jan. 2 - Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025
Where: T Bar M Camp, New Braunfels, Texas
Delta Tau Delta, in partnership with the Delt Foundation, will cover travel costs, including transportation, as well as lodging and meals during the program. (Bedding is not provided at camp. Attendees should plan to bring their own bedding and towels with them.) COMPASS will take place concurrently with PresX. Group travel is preferred whenever possible.
NOTE: This is not a chapter officer training program. It is a program that will help you define your values and encourage you to lead with vision and integrity regardless of position.
“COMPASS was extremely effective as a program. I truly enjoyed the opportunities to meet … while also having a lot of time for fun and brotherhood. The opportunity to have time to connect with Central Office staff and chapter consultants is invaluable. It allows us to get to know them and really see the value of fraternity.”
“Most fun national Delt event I’ve been to so far.”
Life of Excellence Domains
COMPASS x LeaderShape Institute fulfills multiple domains within the Life of Excellence framework. The curriculum represents Personal Leadership, Strengthening Community, Wellness and well-being, and Professional Development.
Participants will:
- develop a sense of community.
- make meaning of their personal values and connect their actions to them.
- strengthen their leadership style and understand how to work with other leadership styles.
Not a typical leadership retreat, the Institute is grounded in helping individuals identify the values they hold that lead to making a difference in the communities around them. Through self-assessment, intensive small group discussions, team-building challenges, and more, participants will develop a vision for something they care about.
By leading with passion, integrity, and a healthy disregard for the impossible, participants explore who they are and the impact that they want to have on communities working towards a more caring, just, and equitable society.
