Casey Krone Appointed as Director of Membership Education
Delta Tau Delta announces the appointment of Casey Krone as director of membership education starting July 25, 2016. In that role, Krone will report to Director of Programs, Andy Longo.
Krone will manage and further develop the Fraternity’s membership education and personal development program and assist in the development of initiatives to provide ongoing educational programming for chapter officers. She will also develop conference curriculum and provide strategic leadership for the organization with regard to trends in education and curriculum design.
She spent the last four years as coordinator of Greek life, student organizations and leadership at Eastern Michigan University where she advised the Interfraternity, Panhellenic and National Pan-Hellenic Councils. In this role she advised leaders from more than 350 student organizations and wrote and delivered curriculum for leadership programs. She also conducted assessment for leadership programs and student organization leadership experiences. She is a part-time faculty lecturer at Washtenaw Community College. Prior to working at Eastern Michigan she was coordinator for Greek programs at Case Western Reserve University.
Krone began her career as an elementary school teacher with Teach for America in the Chicago Public Schools. She continued for three additional years as a Chicago Public Schools teacher while pursuing two master’s degrees. A Sigma Sigma Sigma initiate at Eastern Michigan, Casey has been a volunteer with the sorority. She also is a member of the Association of Fraternity and Sorority Advisors (AFA) and Teach for America Alumni Association.
She graduated with bachelor of science degrees in communication and social science from Eastern Michigan University. Krone earned a master’s degree in the art of teaching from Dominican University and a master’s degree in higher education administration from Northeastern Illinois University. She expects to complete her doctorate in educational leadership at Eastern Michigan University in December 2016. She and her husband, Christopher Krone, a Delt alumnus from the Theta Xi Chapter at Eastern Michigan, live in Manchester, Mich., near Ann Arbor.
