Bentley Anderson Appointed as Director of Volunteer Recruitment
Delta Tau Delta announces the appointment of Bentley Anderson as director of volunteer recruitment. In that role, Anderson will focus primarily on recruiting future Delta Tau Delta volunteers. He will begin his duties July 25, 2016 and report to Chief Operating Officer Jack Kreman.
Delta Tau Delta considers volunteers to be its greatest asset because the mentoring of young men is critical to the Fraternity’s mission. As such, the Fraternity’s strategic plan calls for an increased focus on volunteer recruitment and support. Anderson will be primarily responsible for building the volunteer ranks by identifying potential candidates and supporting new appointees through their first 90 days as a volunteer. He joins Allen Wente, director of volunteer services, who will shift his focus completely to volunteer support, education and recognition.
A native of Hattiesburg, Miss., Anderson graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2009 with majors in history and political science. He was an active member of the Zeta Chi Chapter of Delta Tau Delta, serving as treasurer, vice president, new member educator and Guide. He also served the Fraternity on the Undergraduate Council prior to interning for the United States Senate.
After graduating, Anderson worked at the Mississippi State Senate and then returned to his alma mater to serve as an admissions counselor and recruitment specialist. During this time, he earned a master’s degree in political science and served as the academic advisor for the Zeta Chi Chapter. He also coordinated volunteer efforts for numerous political campaigns throughout Mississippi before relocating to Memphis, Tenn., and entering pharmaceutical sales, in 2014.
His hobbies include reading, hiking, kayaking, and spending time with his fiancé and their Labrador retriever, Beauregard.
