Since the moment Delta Tau Delta and JDRF teamed up for the Fraternity’s first ever national philanthropic partnership, the members of this organization across the nation have taken to the cause with an unbridled enthusiasm matched only by their unfailing compassion for the cause. In the time since the partnership was announced, Delta Tau Delta has raised $104,000 for JDRF research and donated more than 3,000 hours of service to the cause.

“We’re ecstatic to see our Delts jump head first into the philanthropy partnership with JDRF,” said Director of Communications Brook Pritchett. “The excitement and enthusiasm we’ve seen from our undergraduates for the JDRF cause is a true testament to the values of the Fraternity.”

In the past year, undergraduate Delts from coast to coast exceeded all expectations in their fund-raising abilities by planning and hosting unique and fun philanthropy events that are sure to become staples on campuses for many years to come. From a volleyball tournament to a home-run derby, from a singing competition to a rock concert, there was no limit to the thought and creativity put into each event to raise funds for type 1 diabetes (T1D) research.

JDRF is the largest charitable supporter of type 1 diabetes (T1D), having donated more than $1.7 billion to diabetes research since its inception in 1970.The goal of JDRF research is to improve the quality of life for all those affected by T1D while accelerating the pace and progress of finding a cure. With the recent donation of time and funds from the men of Delta Tau Delta, JDRF is now one step closer to a world without T1D.
