How do I Get Involved?

"Being a Founding Father means that I have a direct influence on the direction of this fraternity. I am not only in the melting pot of people, my hand is helping to stir it." - Randy Cross, Virginia Tech CC

As an individual or interest group deciding on whether Delta Tau Delta is the right organization for you, there are a number of steps in the process.

  1. Contact your university IFC or Greek Advisor regarding the opportunity for fraternity expansion.
  2. Call or email Delta Tau Delta to receive information regarding the colony process or submit the recruitment prospect form.
  3. Download the expansion program for interest groups.
  4. Inform your interest group of your findings with regards to campus expansion issues and the specifics of the fraternities you are interested in. If you are the only person interested, you need to start recruiting other men who share common values and interests in starting a fraternity.
  5. Make sure that Delta Tau Delta is available to help establish a colony on your campus and that there is Delt alumni support in the area (to be done by Delta Tau Delta International Headquarters).
  6. Submit petition for recognition as a colony of Delta Tau Delta, with the intent to be chartered in 10 months to two years.
  7. Work with Delta Tau Delta to plan and execute the pledge ceremonies, colony retreats, officer training and meetings.

If your campus is interested in bringing Delta Tau Delta to campus:
