Social responsibility means refusing to participate in hazing. It means showing the utmost respect for women. It means refusing to tolerate mental abuse, intimidation, mean-spirited personal criticism, and bullying.
Above all, it means taking alcohol abuse seriously. Delta Tau Delta even offers an award-winning alcohol education program to drive this point home. New recruits are required to take a three-hour online course on alcohol before becoming active members.
This innovative program is designed to reduce the risk of members experiencing any kind of alcohol problems not just during their time on campus, but at any point during their lives. It’s a cutting edge initiative, and the first program of its kind in the country.
