Ellen ShertzerEllen Shertzer is the director of leadership development for Delta Tau Delta International Fraternity in Fishers, Ind. As director of leadership development, Shertzer supports, promotes and manages the ten-year plan for the Fraternity’s membership education program. She also manages the leadership academies and coordinates Delta Tau Delta’s collaboration with NIC programs. Shertzer spent four years as a Greek alumni coordinator at Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind., where she designed educational initiatives for chapter advisors, house corporation boards and undergraduate leaders. Prior to working on the Indiana campus, she served as Fraternity and Sorority Advisor at the University of Maryland. In addition to her work at IU and Maryland, she has held various jobs within the higher education community, including assistant director of student outreach for the Iowa State Alumni Association and activities advisor for Greek affairs at Northern Illinois University. She is an active alumna volunteer with Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority, serving on the nominating committee and organizational structure committee. Shertzer graduated with a B.A. in public communications and human relations from Western Illinois University and an M.A. in educational leadership and policy studies from Iowa State University. She lives in Indianapolis with her husband, John, and sons, Jack and Luke. |
