Steven Paquette

Steve Paquette was elected secretary of Delta Tau Delta at the 2010 Capital Karnea in Washington D.C.  It returned him to the Arch Chapter after a 25-year hiatus.

Paquette’s service to the Fraternity began as an undergraduate, when he served as chapter president, chairman of the Undergraduate Council, and as undergraduate chairman of Delta Tau Delta's national philanthropy “Delts Tackle Dystrophy.”

His service continued at the local level after graduation in roles that included terms as house corporation president and chapter advisor at Gamma Omicron Chapter. He has also served the Fraternity frequently as a phonarch, conference speaker and as an Eastern Division vice president. He was president of the Eastern Division from 1981 to 1985.

Paquette graduated from Syracuse University's Newhouse Communications School in 1977 and from the Syracuse University College of Law in 1979. He is a partner at Green and Seifter Attorneys P.L.L.C in Syracuse. He has spoken frequently to local and state bar groups on diverse topics including specialized tax matters, matrimonial law, and election law. Previous work has included assignments as an attorney for the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance, associate counsel to the Speaker of the New York State Assembly and as a special prosecutor in Onondaga County.

In addition to Delt service, Paquette has served on many boards, including the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the Redhouse Theatre board, St. Michael's Church Parish Council, Community General Hospital, and as chairman of the Onondaga County Democratic Committee. He is also an adjunct professor of business law at SUNY-OCC.

Steve and his wife Cindy reside in Syracuse, and have three daughters, Aimee, Sarah, and Chelsea.
