Jim Garboden

Jim Garboden was elected treasurer of the Fraternity at the Sesquicentennial Karnea in 2008 and re-elected in 2010 at the Capital Karnea of Washington, D.C.

He was first elected to the Arch Chapter in 1999 as the Eastern Division president. He was re-elected in 2001, and also served as chairman of the Committee on Chapters during that period. Following a two-year hiatus, Garboden was elected to a third term as Eastern Division president in 2005 and served until his election as the Fraternity’s secretary at the  2006 Indianapolis Karnea.

As a Delta Tau Delta alumnus Garboden has served as a division vice president for the Eastern Division as well as house corporation treasurer and president for two different corporations at the same time. He was a recipient of the W. J. Fraering Award in 1996.

Professionally, Garboden works for the Resources Global Professionals in Pittsburgh where he is the director of recruiting. He formerly worked for Philips Respironics and the HJ Heinz Corporation.

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pa., Garboden received his B.A. in political science from the University of Pittsburgh in 1988. He currently resides outside of Pittsburgh.
