Tom CalhoonThomas Calhoon was elected president of the Northern Division in February 2011. He previously had served on the Arch Chapter as secretary from 1998 to 2002. Calhoon’s service to Delta Tau Delta began as an undergraduate at Beta Phi Chapter, where he served as president, rush chairman, and as a member of the Undergraduate Council. As an alumnus Calhoon was first appointed a division vice president in 1975 and was on the board of the Delta Tau Delta Educational Foundation from 1993 to 2011. He also has served on the Beta Phi house corporation for 17 years. He is a recipient of the Fraering Award for exemplary service by a young alumnus and was cited into the Fraternity’s Distinguished Service Chapter in 1995. Calhoon has attended 19 Karneas and more than 44 division and regional conferences. Professionally, Calhoon is the president, broker and co-owner of Prudential Calhoon Company, where he has worked since 1978. Prior to that he was a sales agent with Kent Real Estate. He is a member of the Columbus Board of Realtors and a life member of the Ohio Association of Realtors Million Dollar Club. He served two terms on the Columbus Board of Realtors Board of Directors and seven years on the Ohio Association of Realtors Board of Directions. In addition to his work with Delta Tau Delta, Calhoon served as president of the Ohio 4H Foundation for five years. He has also served on the Upper Arlington Chamber of Commerce and the Hilliard City Schools Board of Education, where he elected president four times. Calhoon and his wife, Donnette, are the parents of an adult daughter, Brittany. His three brothers, Sam, Don, and Bob, are all Beta Phi Delts. |
