Colony Status Checklist

• Minimum of 20 undergraduate men with above a 2.25 GPA
• Minimum group GPA of a 2.5
• It is expected that group will be above the All Fraternity Average and All Male Average.

A petition for colony status must include the following:

1. Introduction - should include:
   1. Explanation of why this group is seeking affiliation with Delta Tau Delta
   2. Signatures of all the members.
2. School approved by Delta Tau Delta - write paragraph about the institution
3. Write a paragraph about accepting the Chartering Criteria.

   Criteria are outlined in Article XI, Section 3 of the Constitution and Bylaws

4. Outline of the members of the Colony include:
   1. GPA
   2. Major
   3. Outside activities
5. Include letters of approval
   1. Letter of approval from the school
   2. Letter of approval from IFC
6. GPA of Colony, minimum 2.5
7. Paragraph about non-hazing
8. Paragraph about scholastic excellence
9. Short information sheet on the Colony advisor
