Recruitment efforts pay dividends

Chapters across Delta Tau Delta have achieved significant quantitative recruitment results this fall. To cite but a few, the Delta Phi Chapter at Florida State reported 61 pledges, Kentucky 46 and Indiana and Texas 41 each. However, quantity is only one side of the success equation. Full story

Chapters embrace pledge program

Chapters have had success with the eight-week pledge program and shown diligence in reporting their pledge dates and initiation dates. The hard work is greatly appreciated. If you are not certain your chapter has reported those dates, please read on. Full story

Delts successfully return to Miami

Delta Tau Delta ended her five-year absence at Miami University when 52 upperclassmen became founding fathers of the Gamma Upsilon Crescent Colonly in October. Full story

Vote 'YES' for expansion

Despite the positive outcomes of expansion, often many campuses vote against expansion. In a number of cases, interfraternity councils vote to prevent expansion opportunities for fraternities because they are afraid of competition. Delta Tau Delta has agreed to always support expansion on any of the campuses where her flag flies. Full story

Indianapolis will play host to Karnea Aug. 2-6, 2006. Home of the Fraternity since 1933, the Indiana state capital hasn't had the "Greatest of all Delt Events" since 1929.

Butler graduate serves as DTAA intern
Fleming

Ryan Fleming, (Butler University, 2005) is serving the Fraternity as the Delts Talking About Alcohol intern during the fall semester. Originally from Crown Point, Ind., Fleming earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and intends to attain a master’s in either political science or economics. As an undergraduate, he served the Beta Zeta Chapter in several areas including as the alumni relations chairman for two years. Apply to be a spring DTAA intern

Futures Quest scholarships offerred

Delta Tau Delta is offering scholarships to the 2006 Futures Quest Leadership Institute held January 6-8. Futures Quest provides leadership training to men who have joined a fraternity in the past year and focuses on personal strength and limitations, leadership and communication skills, personal values and a commitment to fraternal ideals.

Delts come to each others' aid

In the wake of hurricanes Katrina and Rita, the Educational Foundation launched the Delts Helping Delts Relief Fund to help offset educational costs of undergraduates affected by natural disasters. Nearly 400 Delts and friends of the Fraternity have contributed more than $23,000. Full story

MRG update

Beginning with the October 2004 issue of the Arch of Promise, the Fraternity has published a quarterly risk management report citing chapters that failed to comply with the Member Responsibility Guidelines (MRG). The purpose of this inclusion is to be informational and educational. Full story

A good Delt is image conscious

Perceptions created by the images and language we have used for parties, on t-shirts and in other public displays have hurt the Fraternity's image. They have often been harmles mistakes in judgement, but have had serious consequences. They could have all been avoided if some simple guidelines were followed. Full story

While nearly all of the United States will turn their clocks back one hour this weekend, Indiana remains one of three states that do not observe day light savings time. Therefore, the International Headquarters will remain on Eastern Standard Time and be aligned with New York City during the winter months.
