Larry Altenburg
Eastern Division President
Larry Altenburg was appointed Eastern Division president by President Clinton in August 2006. Altenburg was elected to his own term at the Eastern Division Conference in February 2007.
Prior to his election to the Arch Chapter, Altenburg served as division vice president, assistant chapter advisor, and house corporation member. He is an Educational Foundation trustee, and has served as a Karnea facilitator and Karnea committee chairman. Altenburg is a member and former vice president of the National Capital Alumni Chapter. He is on the local committee for the 2010 Washington, D.C., Karnea. Altenburg received the William Fraering Award in 1996, and he is a member of the Bethany Society.
Professionally, Altenburg is a senior associate with Booz Allen Hamilton, a global management consulting firm, where he focuses on consulting to the United States Department of Homeland Security and the law enforcement community. Prior to joining Booz Allen in 1998, Altenburg served on the senior staff of the President’s Commission on Critical Infrastructure Protection. From 1993 to 1998, Altenburg was a special assistant for national security programs at the U.S. Department of Energy.
Altenburg is a 1992 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. He is married and has a 1-year-old daughter.
