UIFI NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS!

The Undergraduate Interfraternity Institute (UIFI) is a summer leadership institute developed by the North-American Interfraternity Conference (NIC). Each summer, Greek men and women from all over the United States and Canada live and learn together. UIFI is a five-day journey, with each day building upon the one previous.  UIFI offers participants the opportunity to explore, define, and enhance their leadership skills, personal awareness, commitment to Delta Tau Delta and grow to expect values based action from themselves and those they lead.

UIFI is an eye opening experience for many Delts because you have the opportunity to see how all Greek organizations are working toward the same goals. UIFI has played a key role in the development of some of Delta Tau Delta's most successful leaders and chapters. UIFI graduates have gone on to become chapter presidents, IFC presidents, or other chapter officers in the Fraternity. Each year, Delta Tau Delta provides more than 20 scholarships for members of the Fraternity to attend UIFI.

You'll experience hands-on interaction, experiential activities, discussion time, and personal reflection time. There is considerable focus on the positive aspects of fraternities and sororities in addition to important discussions about issues that threaten our future.

The Fraternity provides scholarships that cover registration costs. Your registration includes all meals, lodging, activities, and materials while at your UIFI session. Transportation to the session is the responsibility of the undergraduate or his chapter. All sessions will be held at the University of Indiana except Session 5 in Los Angeles, designed for easier access to West Coast students.

Central Office staff will register accepted scholarship applicants. Please do not submit an application to the NIC if you are applying for a Delt scholarship to UIFI.

Applications for 2008 UIFI are available now. The deadline for UIFI scholarship applications is Monday, March 31, 2008.

FAQ

I am initiated already. Can I still go to Futures Quest? Yes! The only restriction is that you pledged the chapter within the calendar year (since January 1st).

How much does it cost? The Fraternity's scholarship covers all registration fees. The only cost to you is your travel to Indianapolis and a fully refundable $50 deposit contingent on your successful completion of the program. If you are having difficulty finding money to cover your travel, you should contact your campus' Greek advisor to see if assistance might be available from your college or university.

I submitted my Futures Quest scholarship application. Should I register at the NIC's website? NO! If you receive a scholarship we will register for you.
